Kingsley Coman finally signs an extended contract to stay at Bayern until at least the summer of 2027. The French man puts pen to a new deal that would see him become of the highest-earning players at the club. Coman was actually close to leaving last summer, with the negotiation for a new contract taking longer than Bayern would have expected.

The PSG graduate is now a regular under Julian Nagelsmann, after being much a squad player under previous Bayern coached. Coman's current contract was supposed to expire in the summer of 2023, which was why Bayern was sweating to get this deal over the line. The desire by both parties to sign a new deal was fueled by his renewed importance to the Bavarian side.

Manchester United and Manchester City were particularly keen on getting the player. Manchester United in particular saw Coman as the ideal player before opting to sign rivals Jadon Sancho when the deal could not materialize. Pep has always admired the French man and was keen on adding him to his City side.

Bayern would be particularly pleased to have extended the contract of one of the brightest youngsters in world football. The new deal would see Coman earn a yearly salary of about €17 million per year, which is more than double his previous salary. This deal would also see Coman become the third highest-paid player in the club, behind just Muller and Lewandowski.

The French man has become sort of a league title magnet having won every single league title since he turned professional in 2012. With a return of 46 goals in the colors of Bayern Munich, Coman is on his way to becoming a club legend if he keeps up with the stunning performances that he has been known for so far.
